Meryl Streep and her husband of 45 years, Don Gummer, have announced that they have been separated for “more than six years” after deciding to “live separately”, writes the Daily Mail.
In a statement provided to Page Six, a spokesperson said that the 74-year-old actress and 76-year-old sculptor “have been separated for over 6 years, and although they will always care for each other, they have chosen to live separately.”
The couple married in 1978 and have four children: 43-year-old Henry, 40-year-old Mamie, 37-year-old Grace and 30-year-old Louisa Jacobson.
The ex-spouses met through Meryl’s brother in 1978 and legalized their relationship in September of the same year.
